McCain's Kahn to Imitate Bush's Scully?


While he's yet to choose a Vice Presidential running mate, Republican nominee John McCain stressed over a White House lunch how ready he is to imitate his predecessor. Of course that means appointing numerous bundlers to cushy positions in the federal bureaucracy.

Seven years ago, George W. tapped then for-profit hospital lobbyist Tom Scully (in picture) to run the Centers for Medicare/Medicaid. Chip Kahn is the current Federation of American Hospital chief executive. He's also a fundraising bundler for the McCain camp. If John follows George's lead, will Chip be in line for the Medicare/Medicaid job? Only time will tell...
