Carlyle Group co-founder David Rubenstein beat Taylor Swift to the punch yet again. It was Swift's original music in 2019 but the current situation involved wedding vows. Rubenstein married Carolyn Zucker in a private ceremony described as the best kept secret in Washington, D.C. It happened on June 5th.
Taylor married boyfriend Travis Kelce on July 3rd in a giant ceremony in Madison Square Garden.
Taylor eventually purchased her music back from Shamrock Capital. Carlyle stiffed Taylor like they did the City of Missoula regarding Mountain Water. In both cases they said they were open to selling to the highly interested buyers but profit targets required otherwise.
Taylor eventually got her original music and Missoula got Mountain Water but those deals happened with zero help from Carlyle.
