Not long ago it was "politicians Red and Blue love PEU (private equity underwriters), and increasingly, more are one." Then TechGods disrupted the party.
Trump booted PEU Legend David Rubenstein from the Kennedy Center Board because Trump II, the digital Caligula did not like its programs (which he never attended). The Donarch must have read about them on X.
The content of the Trump II/Musk DOGE press gig would not pass muster in a high school debate match. Some lady accumulated wealth while working for the government? Is she married? Did a wealthy relative die during her term of employment leaving this person an inheritance? Is she a Congressional staffer with access to insider information for stock trading (currently legal if the staffer gets a waiver)? Charging someone with embezzlement, fraud or another crime would take far more than the shaky innuendo this pair used.
The other concern is how did Elon know this lady's net worth? Did it come from a financial disclosure form, the one's Elon and his DOGE team don't have to complete or share with the public? What data is DOGE integrating on citizens and is any coming from outside sources? This begins to sound like something Uncle Sam purchases from one of the many TechGods.
The Donarch showed he cares not about the judiciary, a key part of the Constitution he swore to uphold. Tricky Don kept his hand off the Bible during his oath. I envisioned him saying "groceries" subliminally to himself, over and over as he "solemnly swore."
Trump II/Musk know how to say things to make the sale. The sad thing is that most people believe their nonsense. Most of yesterday's press conference was drivel.
On the bright side, I'm pretty sure Trump "solemnly swore" afterwards about that damned kid. Was he referring to Elon or X?
