MetaCruel is PEU Worthy

One month ago Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he would fire "low performers" and put remaining employees through "an intense year."  This is a common private equity underwriter (PEU) strategy, one that makes insatiable billionaires richer but generally mistreats and takes advantage of dedicated regular employees.

That turned out not to be the case at Meta, according to Fortune:

TechGods have done a remarkable imitation of PEU legends in currying political favor and employing draconian profit siphoning moves.  As if either group needs more money, yet the PEU boys and TechGods can never get enough.

Zuck's purge included people who'd never had a bad evaluation but were simply on leave.

Zuck, you can have that for free.

Update 2-18-25:  WaPo reported Trump II did this very thing, claim "poor performance" for firing people with good ratings or no ratings at all.  "DogeCruel:  We won't get everything right"
